Information asymmetry is rife — dealers know far more about a vehicle's history, true market value, and risk profile than the buyer ever will.
CarLook.ai was built to fix that. Not as another listing aggregator — the market already has AutoTrader, eBay Motors, and dozens of others. CarLook is a buyer intelligence layer: a platform that sits between the buyer and the listing, giving them the same level of information that a professional buyer would have before they even pick up the phone.
Product Systems AI built CarLook.ai from concept to launch in 3 months. The platform combines official DVLA and DVSA data — MOT history, tax status, ULEZ compliance — with AI-powered deal scoring, risk flagging, and natural language car search. At its heart is the CarLook Score™: a single 0–100 confidence rating that combines buyer fit, price signal, mileage, and risk indicators into one plain-English verdict.
On the B2B side, the Dealer Intelligence Suite gives UK car dealers a professional portal with AI-scored stock analysis, real-time buyer intent signals, and the standout innovation of the platform: forecourt QR codes that buyers scan with their phone to see the full AI-powered vehicle report before a word is spoken.

Discovery & Product Definition
CarLook.ai was conceived to solve a real UK consumer problem: the used car market is opaque, full of information asymmetry, and buyers routinely overpay or miss critical risk signals. We defined the core product brief — a buyer-first AI intelligence layer that sits between the buyer and the listing, not another listing aggregator.
Architecture & Design System
We designed a dark, intelligence-first UI that communicates authority and trust — the opposite of the cluttered, ad-heavy aesthetic of traditional car listing sites. The CarLook Score™ system was designed as the central product concept: a single confidence rating combining buyer fit, price signal, mileage, and risk indicators.
Core Platform Build
Full-stack build of the consumer platform: VRM check engine, Find My Car AI search, listing intelligence checker, live deal shortlists from eBay Motors and AutoTrader, and the Carl AI chatbot. The DVLA & DVSA API integration powers the authoritative vehicle data layer — MOT history, tax status, and risk flags — surfaced in under 5 seconds.
Dealer Intelligence Suite
Built the B2B Dealer Intelligence Suite — a professional portal giving UK car dealers AI-scored stock analysis, real-time buyer intent signals, forecourt QR codes, finance conversion predictor, and bulk VRM upload. The forecourt QR code feature is a standout innovation: buyers scan a QR in the car window and instantly see the full AI-powered vehicle report before a word is spoken.
Launch & Go-Live
CarLook.ai launched publicly in May 2026 as the UK's buyer-first AI car platform. The platform went live with full consumer tools, dealer portal, creator access programme, and the Carl AI chatbot. The site is live at carlook.ai and actively serving UK car buyers.
